Nightly Skincare Routine

Hi!
Last night I posted on IG the products I use nightly and seemed like a lot of you were interested in seeing what my nightly skincare routine is. Yes, I wear a lot of makeup and LOVE wearing makeup, it's my way of expressing myself and it makes me happy. But in order for your skin to look great with makeup on it's more important to take really good care of your skin. It is your largest organ after all, (i think lol). No matter how tired I am or how late it is, I always always always remove my makeup every single night. There have been night or 2 where I am so tired that I will just skip my whole nightly face routine but I never sleep with makeup on. For #1 its gross, #2 you end up letting all the product, dirt, oil and bacteria that you accumulated during the day soak into your face and clog your precious little pores and #3 it will dry out your face and cause your skin to age prematurely. We don't want that.

First, I remove my false lashes, then I gently remove the makeup from my face and neck. Next, in a circular motion on my eyes I remove the mascara, shadow liner and anything else I have in that area. Going in a slow circular motion will help get the makeup off faster and prevent you from tugging and pulling at the sensitive skin around the eye that tends to wrinkle easily because it is so thin. I use Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Wipes in the purple package. They claim the lavender is supposed to calm and relax you so you can get a good nights sleep but its going to take more than that to get me to relax. Lol. Besides that I love them.
They cost $6.99 and I get mine at Target. (or any drugstore)

I use a Clarisonic Mia2 once a day to deep clean my face. It does cost a pretty penny but in my opinion soo worth it. I use it with the Nuetrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash with it. Basically what the Clarisonic does is it is it removes makeup and dirt six times better than with your hands or wipes. It controls oil and breakouts. It has improved the texture of my skin, my face feels smoother and softer. I use it at night because it removes all of the extra makeup I have hiding on my face that I couldn't remove with the wipes. I haven't had any huge breakouts since using this baby. Hopefully it will keep my skin youthful and keep my pores small forever. :)
Clarisonic is $149.00
Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash is $5.49

Toner is next up on my routine and I use Clinique Clarifying Lotion #2, I just add a little bit to a cotton round and apply it all over my face. It clears away any dead skin cells or oil and preps my face to soak in the moisturizer that I use next. The tingling this toner leaves on my face is so refreshing and clean. A good toner is important mostly to people with oily skin or acne prone skin. From what I read it can dry out people with dry-skin types and isn't necessary for everyone.
Clinique Clarifying Lotion is $22.50

I finish off my skin routine with Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion, but since I have been out of it I have been using Lubriderm Daily Moisture for Sensitive Skin.
Clinique DDML is $25.00
Lubriderm is $8.49

When I am all done with my skin, I brush my teeth and take out my contacts and lastly brush this little pen on my teeth and let it dry for 1 minute and go to sleep with it on. I brush it off when I wake up the next morning. Haven't really experienced any sensitivity or pain with it at all.
Pen is $79.00

My mom got me addicted to this Extra Emollient Night Cream from Mary Kay. She uses it on her face because she has dry skin, but I only use it on my lips at night and wake up the next morning with soft moisturized lips. It's a really heavy cream so if you have dry skin this thing works wonders. If I used it on my face I would wake up looking like a oily disco ball.
Thanks for reading!
